I Also Like ‘Instant Runoff Voting’ – Aren’t They Synonyms?

Democrats flipped another House seat – in Maine. And, they did it with the help of ranked choice voting! From the article linked here:
“Golden was declared the winner thanks to Maine’s new ranked-choice system of voting, which allows voters to rank candidates in their order of preference and to transfer their votes if no candidate gets more than 50 percent. It’s the nation’s first use of ranked-choice voting in a general election for a congressional seat. Maine voters ratified ranked-choice voting via a ballot initiative two years ago.”
