The world’s population continues to grow. Climate change threatens arable land for crop production. With more mouths to feed and potentially less land to make that food, scientists have been looking to increase crop yields from the existing stock of plants. And, they may have found a way, but there’s a catch: genetic engineering. Once we hear how and what they are doing with this science, we may conclude that it’s fine, so today, when we go Beyond The Norm, “hacking” plants to make photosynthesis more efficient, to make plants grow bigger and faster!
